Pay Pal Web Store Shipping Charges:
Note: For those persons using STR's Pay Pal Web Store: STR's Pay Pal Web Store processed prices do not include shipping, handling, insurance and sig. receipt unless otherwise specified.
Due to the nature of the products and services, there is no equitable
way for the Pay Pal Web Store's math to correctly determine the shipping costs.
When your online paid order is ready to ship,
you will be sent an email via Pay Pay for the shipping costs.
The appearance of your shipping costs in the STR bank account
will be the signal for STR to ship your paid order.

NON SHIP DATES
OK to ship via US Mail, as everything will be held in the Post Office until my return.
Please do not ship packages via UPS or Fed Ex to STR to arrive during the "Out of Office" dates listed below:

Someone will be around the STR office almost all of the time during this period,
All packages will be brought in on the day of their arrival.
It is best to hold shipments so that they will arrive on or after the day the office is reopened.
STR's phone messages will checked most evenings, and calls returned the following morning. Please include your time zone along with your name and phone number.
Due to ambiguities with cell phones and messaging systems, please pronounce each number separately and distinctly,
as there are some times when a digit is dropped in a rapid fire delivery,
and it is not always possible to get the Caller ID info, such as when 2 calls are received at almost the same time. Only the first one will be noted.

Shipping and Consultations
A) Shipping:
Shipping of products is actual cost + $3 to $25 handling and packing.
Return shipping will be charged for all customer's units, except warranty repairs.
Return shipping will be by either UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail unless otherwise requested.
Customer to specify insurance value, or STR will estimate value, and not be liable for more.
When shipping chassis, wrap in paper or conductive material, then bubble wrap. Tape closed.
Pack in large box to prevent couplers or flywheels from hitting any edge when box is dropped.
Adult Signature Receipt is required for all Credit Card & Pay Pal processed sales:
$4.25 to UPS, added to actual shipping costs.
$2.10 - $4.95 to USPS-PM, added to actual shipping costs.
B) Consultations:
Free phone consultations for customers on QSI related problems.
Paid phone consultations available to non-customers on other electrical or electronic problems or difficulties relating to toy trains at the rate of $0.50 per min. with a 10 minute minimum payable by Credit Card at the time of the call.
