DC Operation Three methods
1) Manual: Choose an appropriate controller, such as Bridgwerks, for you needs and any perceived future growth. The controller's polarity switch will operate the Whistle/Horn and bell.
2) Manual Remote: All Bridgewerks Controllers marked as Remote Ready have remote control capability.
Just plug in a Bridgewerks RC-100 for a simple remote control throttle and Whistle/Horn and Bell and Reversal operation.
3) QARC with either of the above.
In DC/QSI's QARC, Quantum Analog Remote Control: Simple control of up to 18 different operations of 1 locomotive, most of which are not accessible by any other way other than DCC.
Notes: If 2 or more different QSI Quantum Magnum equipped locos are consisted together, they will act as one.
It is the Regulated Throttle Control (RTC) in conjunction with Inertia Control, that smooths out any differences between locos so that all locos in a consist pull together instead of fighting one another.
4) Operating with QARC requires 2 QSI products:
4a) A Quantum Engineer which creates the QARC Signals 4b) A Quantum Engineer Booster to pass the required power from the Controller to the track with the QARC signals added.
The Booster also requires a separate, isolated 12 to 16 Volt AC or DC Power source good for 200 mAmps. Wall plug-ins are acceptable. Low Powered DC Controllers are acceptable.
When using multiple QE Boosters, a higher current plug-in is acceptable. Ex: A 1 Amp plug-in will power up to 5 Quantum Engineer Boosters.
While 2 or more locos will act as one, are you looking for multiple trains control?
