AC & DC Motor Reverse Units1994-2000:
All MTH locos that were shipped without ProtoSounds1 units were equipped with DCRUs, and a whistle or horn board.
All MTH locos shipped with ProtoSounds1 Train Control Sound Systems do not have a separate DCRU.
The PS1 bottom board includes the DCRU features of F & R, directional 1.5 Volt Lighting power, & Marker Light power.
Additional features in the PS1 bottom board include a Power Supply for the top (Sound) board, Auto-Battery-Off (after mid 1995), and a Coil Coupler Driver, with the places for installation of a second Coil Coupler driver circuit.
Places for installing the Auto-Battery-Off on the mid 1994-mid 1995 bottom boards were included.
