Accessory cable with 1.5 Volt light connected, ready to install: $15

WARNING: Never attempt to remove and salvage the on-board volume control. One or more of the 3 internal-plane volume control connections could easily be irrevocably damaged.

6)
If you must, cut the 3 volume control leads, removing the control from the board, then heat and remove 1 lead at a time, quickly.

Replace the volume control with a known good 10K pot. Since the original volume control was mounted backwards resulting in CW rotation decreasing the volume, cross connect the outside leads to the new one to get CW rotation for increasing the volume.

The 237 boards with plug in volume control have 3 pins, allowing one to easily reverse the outside lead connections to get the desired rotation, by just flipping
over the plug.

7)
Steamers:
Locos without installed Molex socket on engine, add $10 for 4-pin
wired Molex plug added to extend existing tether.

Specify 0, 2 or 4 rubber tires on drivers

8)
Roller(s) on tender? Important if loco has only 1 pick up or a short gap between its 2 pickups such that it has 1 or 2 pickups on the tender, without which it would momentarily loose power when passing thru a switch or 30 or 45 degree crosstrack.

9)
Power Guard required for Warranty.
Power Guard price with each purchase of a Basic
Sound System Starter Set: $79
