Three different choices
for
Simple Sound Systems for your loco.

Approach 1. The simpler way:
Use a full fledged QSI reverse unit. See the AC&DC Motor Reverse Units page.
along with a plug in whistle or horn board: $5.

Approach 2. The more realistic sounds way:
Use a full fledged QSI reverse unit. See the AC&DC Motor Reverse Units page.
along with a QSI Hooter (Diesel) or Tooter (Steamer). See the Hooters & Tooters page.

The Hooter and Tooter require a bell button as well as a whistle button for setup and full use. STR can set these units to the whistle/horn of your choice before shipment if you do not have a bell button.

The whistle/horn will be available for immediate use via your whistle button.
Later, acquire a bell button to activate and deactivate the bell.

Approach 3.
Install an After Market Sound System with an OEM chip. See the Sound Sets:OEM Chips page and search down for the desired OEM section.
Get Whistle/Horn, Bell and Steamer or Diesel operating sounds. No Resets means almost no memory scramble. Required battery included. Requires a Bell button to operate Bell.

See the
AC&DC Motor Reverse Units page for locating the appropriate reverse unit and price for your application.

See the Sound Syst & Ops Prices: After Market Snd Syst page for After Market kit prices.

A PowerGuard connected to the output tap powering trains with electronics is recommended.

See the Shipping, etc. page for shipping charges.
